The Red House Hostel is located in Laveno Mombello, in via Roma 23 at corner with via San Michele.
On foot
From the town centre reach the lake and coast it in north direction. At the and of the pedestrian lakefront “De Angelis”, on the right there is a starway, take it. On the top turn left and after two hundred metres you will find, once again on your left, the Red House Hostel.
By car
From Milan, take A8 highway (direction Varese) exit at Azzate-Buguggiate’s toll booth, then follow the signs for Laveno Mombello.
From the junction A8- A26 (E62) exit at Sesto Calende’s toll booth, then follow the signs for Laveno Mombello.
From Switzerland.
From Bellinzona pass trought customs “Zenna-Dirinella” and coast the lake.
From Lugano pass trought customs “Ponte Tresa” and follow the signs for Luino, then coast the lake in south direction.
By train
Laveno-Mombello has two train stations:
“Ferrovie Nord Milano” connect directly Laveno to Varese-Saronno-Milano Nord Cadorna. Laveno is the last stop.
“Ferrovie dello Stato” connect directly Laveno to Luino-Gallarate-Milano Porta Garibaldi, and by the line “Tilo” to Bellinzona (CH) - Malpensa Aeroporto.
By Taxi
For those who want it, it is possible to book a taxi at the number: 0039/3922531251. From the stations it costs 10 euro (from one person to seven people). You should contact in advance the operator to better arrange the route.
